How It Works

How the E-Chuck Works and How to Use It

Step 1: Position the Workpiece

The workpiece is loaded automatically or manually.

Step 2 – Electric Clamping

The three jaws close electrically; the clamping force is precisely controlled and monitored.

Step 3 – Endless rotation

The workpiece can rotate freely and without restriction for measurement or manufacturing processes.

FAQ

FAQ

The E-Chuck can be connected directly to modern measuring and testing machines via 24 V DC and CANopen.
Alternatively, the IO-Box can be used to integrate the controller into existing systems.

By default, the E-Chuck covers the following clamping ranges:
- External clamping: 1.5–140 mm
- Internal clamping: 46–172 mm
If other clamping ranges are required, we also offer custom-made clamping jaws.

The clamping force can be calibrated via CANopen or the IO box, depending on the application.

Yes, this is made possible by the built-in slip ring, which can be omitted if continuous rotation is not required.

We distribute the E-Chuck worldwide.

No, the E-Chuck does not rotate on its own. However, we also offer another version of the E-Chuck that is integrated into a turntable.

The E-Chuck comes standard with three jaws. Upon customer request, models with six to eight jaws are also available.
